Confirmation FAQs
Confirmation is a class designed for middle school students who have professed their faith in Jesus. It is a starting point in which to build a solid foundation in the faith. Through Confirmation they will learn about the bible, faith, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the church, baptism, their purpose and missions. Once they finish the class, they will have the background they need to start their faith journey in Christ.
Each class is about an hour long, generally either on a Sunday evening or a Wednesday evening (as appointed by the instructor). We meet once a week for about 10-12 weeks.
Each student must have a mentor to accompany them through the class. Preferrably this is someone who has had a big influence in their life or someone to whom they look up too. However, should the mentor not be available, or should the student not have one, the church will provide them one from the volunteer list we have.
The student will need a book, folder and a journal, but don't worry, we provide those.
